How SR France delivered critical drainage and prep for Country Fare’s 45,000 sq ft facility with zero delays.
Challenges Faced
Once construction commenced the sites natural ground conditions left the area waterlogged and unworkable for any trades to operate, causing potential delays.
If they didn’t act quickly, their timelines were at risk. Costs could rise, and their goals for sustainability and better service capacity would be at stake. The project required input from S.R.France for potential solutions which resulted in the installation of land drains to the perimeter to provide dewatering capabilities to the site.

Site Preparation
Carried out an 11,000m² reduced level site strip
Removed 3,300m³ of material off-site
Imported and compacted 2,600m³ of Type 1 aggregate to raise levels
Foundations & Structural Base
Excavated and poured 660m³ of foundations
Installed 14.5 tonnes of reinforced steel cages
Laid 800m³ of RC35 concrete slab over 4,186m² of A252 mesh
Drainage
Installed two attenuation tanks (751m³ capacity) using over 3,750 crates
Laid over 740m of stormwater drainage (up to 375mm in diameter)
Installed 340m of foul water drainage, plus 78m of 375mm and 65m of 300mm pipework
Fitted 12 large PCC manholes (1200–1500mm), two flow chambers, and one pump chamber
Externals
Prepared 5,500m² of ground for tarmac surfacing
300m³ of topsoil for soft landscaping
900m kerbs
